Tod Cohen was born in New Jersey and has lived and worked in Virginia, since 1989. He has a background in photojournalism, and has a successful wedding, bar and bat mitzvah, and family photography business that serves the Mid-Atlantic region. He also has created images for a series of children’s books on Jewish traditions with Kar-Ben Publishing and was a 20-year owner of a franchise specializing in youth sports and school portraits (TSS Photography).

He got his first camera at age three.
